National Children Leadership Conference: Ministry of Women Affairs partners CALDEV

The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs is partnering with the Children of Africa Leadership and Values Development Initiative (CALDEV) to organize the Nigeria Children’s Leadership Conference (NCLC) tagged Abuja 2023.

This partnership was announced when staff of the Ministry paid an inspection visit on organization during which the leader of the organization, Mr. Nobis Chukwu announced that they were satisfied with the modus operandi and activities of the organization.

Mr. Nobis who is the Assistant Director in the Child Rights department of the ministry announced that with the plans in place and the need to listen and come to the aid of the Nigerian child, it was a welcome development that CALDEV has taken up such responsibility.

The Ministry appreciated Rep. Salam for embarking on the visionary journey noting that with his social standing, a new sense of dynamism will be injected into the task of redeeming Nigerian children from the shackles of deprivations.

He prayed for the sustainability of the efforts and milestones that CALDEV has so far covered noting that, Nigerian children stands to benefit immensely from the upcoming Conference.

In his address, the Founder and President of CALDEV, Representative Bamidele Salam said the organization was founded a grooming ground for leadership training and subsequent recruitment base as well as a platform to promote the welfare, security and educational needs of the Africa child.

“CALDEV organizes series of programmes such as Teenagers Leadership Bootcamp, National Children’s Dialogue, Charity Walk to support Orphanages, and several others with the aim of building up leadership capacities among children, foster positive interaction among children of different cultural, religious, economic and social backgrounds as well as provide a platform for a National Dialogue around issues affecting children in Nigeria”, Rep. Salam stated.

With the theme Rebuilding Nigeria Through Investment In Children’s Education, Welfare And Security, the 4-day conference will feature exciting activities such as leadership training; various sessions including children parliamentary session, visitation to key government institutions to interact with top government officials; financial and entrepreneurial literacy session; children’s dialogue, panel discussions and brainstorming sessions; quiz and other competitions; children films and books exhibitions; arts exhibitions, with lots of exciting gifts and prizes to be won; special awards for early achievers and child right advocates; and other side attractions.

CALDEV is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and non-profit organization, established to teach and mentor children and youth for the development of a better citizenship, leadership and nationhood.
