You lack ethical awareness: Gov. Alia’s CPS, Kula attacks Arise TV’s Rufai

Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, has criticized the controversial Arise TV presenter Rufai Oseni for his recent behavior with guests in an interview. Sir Tersoo Kula made his comments in response to Rufai Oseni’s recent attitude.

It has been brought to the attention of News Headquarters that on Monday, Rufai and Jesutega Onokpasa, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, got into a heated argument during a show that was broadcast on a television station.

During the course of the broadcast, Oseni was conducting an interview with Onokpasa. During the course of the conversation, Oseni expressed his disagreement with Onokpasa’s viewpoint regarding President Bola Tinubu’s decision to eliminate fuel subsidies as well as the general economic situation in the country.

The drama, on the other hand, sparked emotions from Nigerians, notably supporters of the current administration, who accused Rufai of being biased.

In another response to the event, Kula wrote a post on his official Facebook page in which he accused the presenter of being oblivious to the ethical standards that apply to journalism.

He added that “there is no need for a responsible citizen of this country to honor any program on Arise TV that Rufai will be anchoring.” Rufai is scheduled to host a variety of shows.

“Unfortunately, he is oblivious to ethics, and he is lacking in the fundamental manners, courtesy, and principles that are required by the profession.”
