The organisers of the popular Mbadede Carnival are thrown into mourning following the demise of one of its foremost drummers simply known as “Or Kunkun”.
A post on Mr. Fidelis Ahangba Angwe Facebook timeline said Or Kunkun died when his services were more needed to make this year’s carnival a memorable one.
According to Mr. Ahangba, Or Kunkun “led our procession last year.. a very dedicated and professional “Or Kunkun”
“We met many years ago in Ningev at a burial. I became your fan, because I loved how passionate you were about what you were doing. We exchanged contacts. And I told you how much I loved the drum you played and the way you played it and the dance group you led.
“You taught me how to play that big drum, it was a thing of joy, when I finally played it last year. I was hoping that we will still be together this year but God had his own plans.
“May your gentle soul rest in peace Amen”, Ahangba prayed.
