The Secretary to the Benue State Government, Prof. Engr. Joseph Alakali has called on the non profit organization, Jako Voice Media and Entertainment to partner with him to offer dividends of democracy to the people in the area of education and humanitarian services in general.
In a post on his Facebook timeline, Akough Orduen James, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jako Voice Media & Entertainment/ Convener, Tem Imongo I Turan, the Secretary made the call during a courtesy visit by the aforementioned group in his office yesterday.
He expressed optimism over their good works in the society and charged the group of young graduates to keep making sacrifices to the development of the society particularly the Turan people of Kwande in Benue State.
The rest of the post reads: The kwande born Professor of Food Science and Technology. lauded that, for youth who have less but are zealous in striving to put smiles on the faces of the people by initiating scholarship programmes in the ruler areas, buying of Jamb forms for willing and able youth and sponsoring of the education of the vulnerable persons is commendable and that which deserves attention of the government and all the necessary supports from same, even as he assured partnering with them in subsequent time to boost the educational system as it has been his desires for along ago.
He assured them of his unwavering supports to achieve set goals and objectives including the successes of their annual carnival tagged TEM IMONGO I TURAN (Jato Aka Carnival ) that comes up every January of the year and as such, he endorsed the unity innovation aimed at preserving the Tiv cultural heritage and promoting peace and unity in the society.
Early, the team Members of the group under the leadership of Mr Akough Orduen Mc Jamix James stormed the office of the SSG Prof. Alakali on a familiarization visit to interface with him, congratulate him over his appointment by His Excellency Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and to also invite him to the forthcoming Jato Aka Carnival which comes up Saturday 6th and Sunday, 7th January, 2024 at Yaga Hotels, Jato Aka, Kwande, Benue State.
On the entourage were the CEO Jako voice media & Ent. Akough Orduen Mc Jamix , a pillar and father Elder Terwase Gbejen, General Manager Miss Yande Winifred , Secretary Comr Ayoo Sunday , Spokesperson Terwase Afa Mc Beloved , Imomtswen Imomtswen Imomtswen Terfa Or-Chelsea Terfa , Obed Oryina Tyorough , Comr Bemgba Alexander Jonathan among others.
Highlights of the visit was the presentation of a crested T-shirt to the SSG and prayers on him to deliver on the mandate given to him by the executive Governor of Benue State.
