….Riding for celebration of unity and social causes
I’ve planned a unique and impactful homecoming event in Makurdi, scheduled for December 22, 2023. This event is set to mark the culmination of an inspiring journey, showcasing my commitment to both physical endurance and social advocacy.
My decision to ride from Abuja to Makurdi on a bicycle takes deeper consideration following my adventure to Lagos to see Davido and later navigation to Abuja, partnering with the Cycling Federation and the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, and campaigning about the health benefits of riding bicycles.
My decision is driven by a desire to rally the city of Makurdi alongside many other Benue cyclists and the multitude of my supporters. This collective effort aims to bring to light the strides of the governor and his new government. The event will employ various media tools to showcase the positive transformations and good works happening in Benue, bringing them to the attention of a wider audience.
My homecoming event is specifically designed to highlight the unified spirit of the civilised Benue youth. By bringing together a multitude of my supporters, we seek to emphasise the courage and bravery of Benue youth. This celebration is not just about an individual’s journey but serves as a powerful demonstration of the capabilities and strength of the Benue community.
My journey is not only a physical feat but also a platform for advocacy. The event will feature campaigns addressing the health benefits of riding a bicycle, emphasising the importance of security within the state, and advocating for the eradication of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Benue. Additionally, the use of bicycles as a sub-means of transportation will be promoted, especially in light of fluctuating fuel prices.
My homecoming event is a powerful symbol of unity and love among the civilised Benue youth. Through collective participation, the event fosters a sense of community and shared purpose, reinforcing the positive spirit of the Benue people.
The advocacy component of the event will serve a dual purpose by raising national awareness about the insecurity challenges faced within the state. By addressing these issues during a high-profile event, we aim to contribute to the discourse on security and encourage collective efforts towards resolution and national intervention.
The event is also strategically designed to generate widespread publicity for the positive initiatives of the Benue government. By leveraging media tools and the collective reach of multi-benefit participants, we aim to amplify the message of progress and development within the state.
