The Supreme Court has reserved judgment in the Ebonyi State governorship election appeal stating that a date will be communicated to parties.
Justice John Okoro reserved the judgment after the parties adopted their briefs of argument on Monday.
The Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 18 governorship election, Ifeanyi Odi, in Ebonyi state, had rejected the judgment of the Ebonyi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld the victory of Governor Francis Nwifuru as the winner of the election.
A 3-man panel of the Tribunal sitting in Abuja, led by Justice Lekan Ogunmoye, had in its judgment, dismissed the petition for being unmeritorious and for want of jurisdiction.
Similarly, The Apex Court also dismissed an appeal against the election of Governor Hycinth Alia of Benue State.
The dismissal follows the withdrawal of the appeal by counsel to Mr Titus Uba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sebastian Hon.
Mr Uba had challenged the victory of Governor Hyacinth Alia of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Benue State Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Makurdi had earlier upheld the election of Governor Hyacinth Alia of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
