The 10th National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum, NASSLAF, has elected its officials for the 10th National Assembly as High Chief Emeka Nwala emerged chairman-elect with 29 votes to beat his opponent, Afeez who polled 19 votes.
In a related development, Hon. Ishaq Baba Sale and Dr. Raji emerged as Vice Chairman elect and Secretary elect, unopposed as Affan Sani and Ladi Haruna beat their opponents to emerge Treasurer and Welfare Officer, respectively.
Also, Ms Mandy Seember, Hajiya Aisha Musa and Mr. Jimy Akanimo all emerged Assistant Secretary, Assistant Financial Secretary and PRO 1 without any opposition.
The position of PRO 2 was won by Simon Abang who defeated Adeyemi Shola Esther while Edozie Bennett emerged as Legal Officer 2 unopposed.
In his acceptance speech, High Chief Emeka Nwala thanked the Central Working Committee for voting massively for him to emerge winner and thanked the Electoral Committee (ELECOM) as well as other stakeholders for seeing to a free, fair and credible election. He reiterated his commitment to the welfare of all Aides and called on his co-contestant to join him in moving NASSLAF forward.
