Famous Tiv song composer, Obadiah Kehemen Orkororze, who passed at the Benue State Teaching Hospital, Makurdi in the morning of Tuesday, 27th August, 2024, was laid to rest in the evening of same day.
The body of the deceased who died of protracted prostate cancer at 9.30 in the morning was lowered to its final resting place at about 9 pm at Tse-Shiishi in the neighborhood of Jootar, Ukum local government area of Benue State.
He had wished that his body be laid to rest quietly and quickly the same day and his family obliged.
His body was moved straight from the hospital to its final resting place with few family members in attendance.
The deceased had desired that as a believer he be buried as quickly as the Lord Jesus Christ and other New Testament Christians.
Obadiah said he wanted his funeral to bring honor to God as practices during wake keep of most burials displease Him.
Pastor Iorshe Gusah of Full Gospel Church and Brother Philip Ikyo of Peace House conducted a joint brief funeral at which they read from 2 Peter 2: 5-7 and gave an exhortation to Christians to emulate the exemplary life of the deceased.
