The Chairmen of Local governments in Benue State have elected Hon. Orwough Maurice of Guma Local Government as the Chairman, Forum of Chairmen Benue state chapter, ALGON.
In his acceptance speech shortly after swearing-in at the Benue State Government house, Makurdi, Maurice thanked, the good people of Guma local government for providing an enabling environment for him to contribute his quarter in the nation building particularly in Benue at third tier of government.
Orwough while extending his appreciation to his colleagues for confidence they have reposed in him charges them to establish a cordial working relationship with the state government by ensuring they caved out ideas aimed at improving their various council to attract profitable projects that can bring development at the third tier of government in the State.
He concluded by saying he’ll not betray the leadership position trusted on his shoulders, “I promise to be a servant to serve you and not leader, I’m particularly happy for the Governor of Benue State for his development strides while I congrulate you all, I hope to enjoined you all to emulate from his antecedents as we journey through this lane of sustainable development across our dear state, ” he said.
