CDOWA group of schools, Abuja celebrated End of Year Party in grand style

The Civil Defence Officers Wives Association (CDOWA) Group of Schools, Abuja, recently hosted a memorable end-of-year party, bringing together officers’ and civilian children in a joyous celebration. The event, which took place in a serene atmosphere, was a perfect way to mark the Yuletide Season and Holidays.

According to Hajiya Aishatu Ahmed Audi, CDOWA National President and Wife of the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, the event was an opportunity to appreciate the hard work and resilience of the Commandant General and all male personnel, both serving and retired, in providing a peaceful environment for families.

Hajiya Audi emphasized the importance of unity, tolerance, love, understanding, and sacrifice in marriages, stressing that these values are essential for any society to enjoy tranquility and progress. She also appreciated the support of the Commandant General, who had assured the association of his support and that of the corps to ensure the full academic takeoff of the CDOWA group of schools.

The CDOWA National President highlighted the association’s commitment to providing a conducive and affordable learning environment for both civilians and Civil Defence Officers. She noted that the association’s motto, “Peace at Home, Peace in the Nation,” emphasizes the importance of harmony in the home and its impact on the nation.

Addressing the teachers and students, Hajiya Audi encouraged them to enjoy the Yuletide season and the goodies provided by the Commandant General. “Let me wish you a wonderful celebration as you enjoy the goodies provided by our father, the Commandant General; you deserve to have fun having worked assiduously for a whole year.”

She commended the teachers for their efforts and sacrifice in bringing out the best in the children. “To the teachers, your efforts and sacrifice to bring the best out of these children is highly commendable.” She also praised the students for making their parents proud, saying, “To you students, you have made your parents proud, and the CG is very proud of you all.”

Hajiya Audi expressed her gratitude to the parents who entrusted their children and wards to the school. “I sincerely thank the parents who entrusted us with their children and wards.”

In her remarks, the CDOWA Group of School Coordinator, Deputy Commandant Chinonye Nwosu-Orue, appreciated the Commandant General and the Management of CDOWA Group of Schools for providing the necessary logistics and conducive learning environment to compete favourably amongst others.

DC Chinonye noted that since the establishment of the School in 2022, the progress reports have been outstanding, and she believes that the coming year will also bring visible improvements and development. She affirmed that the students are among the best in their peers, as discipline, hard work, dedication, and patriotism are core values embedded in the school’s educational scheme and psychology of teaching.

The event was a huge success, thanks to the efforts of the CDOWA National President, Hajiya Aishatu Ahmed Audi, and the entire management of CDOWA Group of Schools.
