The woman leader, Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter of National Association of Nigeria Traders (NANTs), Chief (Mrs) Rachael Adewumi has advised members to involve God in their Christmas celebrations, emphasizing the importance of keeping Christ at the center of the holiday season.
In a statement she issued on Tuesday, the woman leader encouraged members to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and to prioritize their spiritual well-being during the celebrations.
Dr Rachael Rachael Adewumi said, who doubles as the President of an NGO, Takem Empowerment Initiatives (TEIs), that caters, trains and empowers the widows, orphans and the less privileged in the society has this to say: “As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us not forget the significance of this special season. Christmas is a time to rejoice and give thanks to God for the gift of His son, Jesus Christ.”
The leader advised members to make time for prayer, worship, and fellowship with family and friends during the holiday season. She also encouraged them to engage in acts of kindness and charity, reflecting the values of love, compassion, and generosity that Jesus embodied.
“Let us celebrate Christmas with a sense of purpose and meaning, recognizing that Jesus is the reason for the season,” she said, adding: “By involving God in our celebrations, we can experience a deeper sense of joy, peace, and fulfillment.”
The leader’s advice serves as a reminder to traders and the general public to keep the spiritual significance of Christmas at the forefront of their celebrations.
