Allen Onyema, a Nigerian lawyer and businessman, exemplifies patriotism as the CEO of Air Peace, Nigeria’s premier airline.
Mr. Onyema’s dedication to the Nigerian project is unparalleled in our country’s history. I was moved to tears of gratitude during the multiple instances when he deployed Air Peace planes to rescue stranded Nigerians in South Africa, Ukraine, Thailand, Malaysia, and Sudan, all at no cost. Indeed, what a remarkable man!
Mr. Onyema’s down-to-earth nature and genuine regard for people, especially the cabin crew members, were refreshingly evident during a recent Air Peace flight from Lagos to Abuja. I observed him throughout the flight and was captivated by his grace. At first, it seemed he didn’t have a seat, and I was prepared to give up mine just to show him how much love and respect Nigerians have for him.
Upon disembarking, I approached him and asked, “Mr. Onyema, may I take a selfie with you?” He responded enthusiastically, “Yes, of course!” He looked at me again and said, “I know you!” I replied, “Certainly, from Arise News.”
I not only took a selfie but also offered him a prayer that the Almighty God would bless him with incredible wealth and health for being a blessing to humanity.
With leaders like Mr. Onyema, there is hope for Nigeria.
