Sheis an entrepreneur and philanthropist par excellence and the MD/CEO, Omas World of Glamour Ltd, Omas Studio Ltd and, Omas Multimedia Ltd, all being the offshoots of Omas Group of Companies, with head office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and offices in Lekki, Lagos and Gwarinpa, Abuja.
She is the founder of a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), the Omas Foundation for Hope (OFH), focusing providing: free medical services to rural communities lacking adequate medical facilities; education for children and young people, especially the less privileged; working for the social development of underprivileged individuals; encouraging women’s education and empowerment and; supporting skills acquisition for youth employment.
As the world celebrated International Mothering Sunday (IMS) on March 30, 2025, Dr. (Mrs.) Joy Ezeike, a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, embodied the spirit of motherhood. With the theme “Beauty of Motherhood,” this special day highlighted the essence of motherhood and the vital role mothers play in families, society, and nation-building.
She advises mothers to prioritize self-care, seek help when needed, and celebrate their achievements. She emphasizes the importance of passion, integrity, and dedication in overcoming challenges and achieving successes.
With the firm belief that fathers play a crucial role in supporting mothers, Dr. Ezeike encourages fathers to offer emotional support, share responsibilities, and express gratitude for all that mothers do. By doing so, she goes on, fathers can help create a more supportive and nurturing environment for mothers to thrive.
On government support for mothers, she stated that governments can promote the well-being of mothers by implementing family-friendly policies, providing access to quality healthcare, and promoting education and economic empowerment programs.
Dr. Ezeike stresses the need for governments to recognize the value of mothers’ contributions to society and provide adequate support.
On international recognition and support, said that the United Nations and other international organizations are urged to promote maternal health and well-being globally, advance women’s empowerment, and celebrate mothers worldwide. By acknowledging and supporting mothers, according to her, “we can foster a more compassionate and equitable society.”
