The President of the Abuja Frozen Fish/Food Sellers Association (AFFOSA), Alhaji Muhammadu Salifu Abdulahi, has issued a heartfelt message to members as they prepare to celebrate a significant religious occasion.
Addressing media men in his office within the week, the President emphasized the importance of incorporating spiritual values into their festivities, while also being mindful of their customers’ welfares.
“We urge all members to approach the celebration with a strong sense of spirituality, seeking God’s blessings and guidance throughout the period,” Alhaji Abdulahi stated, adding: “Let us not forget our customers’ struggles and ensure that our prices remain affordable, so that Nigerians can also participate in the joy of the celebration.”
The AFFOSA President also cautioned members against excessive spending and extravagance, advising them to adopt a moderate approach to the festivities.
“We should celebrate in a way that allows us to start anew after the festivities, without being weighed down by financial burdens,” he advised.
Alhaji Abdulahi further urged members to abide by the law and use the occasion to promote unity, friendliness, and interfaith harmony.
“Let us work together with other religious bodies and stakeholders to foster a sense of community and togetherness,” he said.
The AFFOSA President’s message is a timely reminder of the importance of balancing spiritual celebrations with social responsibility and economic prudence. By heeding his call, members can ensure a joyous and meaningful celebration that benefits both themselves and their customers.
