….Expresses gratitude to Governor for appointing her and MD/CEO of Benue Geo-Mining Company

The Mbagbera Development Association has hosted a special celebration in honour of one of their illustrious daughters, Dr. Erdoo Mongol-Aga, following her appointment as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Benue Geo Mining Company Ltd.
The colourful event took place on Wednesday, July 10, 2025, at the Green Belt Hotel in Makurdi. It attracted a host of dignitaries, including key members of the Mbagbera community currently serving in the administration of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, as well as friends, family, and well-wishers of the celebrant.
In his address, the Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Denis Akura, who also serves as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Planning, said the gathering was organized not only to celebrate Dr. Mongol-Aga’s well-deserved appointment but also to publicly appreciate the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for entrusting such a strategic responsibility to a worthy daughter of Mbagbera.
News Headquarters reports that, other speakers included the traditional leader of the Mbagbera community, Chief Baaki Emmanuel—who also represented the Ter Kunav—and Pastor Iorkase Mongol, the father of the celebrant. Both expressed pride in Dr. Mongol-Aga’s achievements and noted that her hard work and consistency were beginning to bear fruit.
In her remarks, Dr. Mongol-Aga expressed heartfelt appreciation to her community for their overwhelming support and encouragement. She also extended sincere gratitude to Governor Alia for the confidence reposed in her to lead Benue Geo Mining Company Ltd.
Recalling her formative years, Dr. Mongol-Aga gave special thanks to her uncle, Chartered Accountant Terhemba Tile Abume, and her maternal family, acknowledging their critical role in laying the foundation for her academic and professional journey. She concluded her speech with a prayer for God’s continued blessings upon them.
Among the many dignitaries present at the celebration were Hon. Isaac Imoter Akaager (Advisor on Local Government Market Coordination and Monitoring), Hon. Terfa Tsorkar (Technical Assistant on Land Matters), Chief Mrs. Felicia Hoyo (Chairlady), Mr. Innocent Aga (husband of the celebrant), Hon. Chiga (GLO, Kwande), and Hon. John Agbaingya, among others.
