CDCFIB warns against recruitment scams, reiterates free application process

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has cautioned job seekers against syndicates claiming to offer recruitment services into its paramilitary agencies at a fee.

The board emphasizes that its recruitment process is entirely free, with no charges at any stage.

The authentic portal for the CDCFIB recruitment application process is (link unavailable) Candidates are advised to ignore any other websites or portals claiming to offer recruitment services, according to a press statement from the secretary of the board, Rtd Major Gen AM Jibril on Wednesday

The CDCFIB has alerted security agencies to crack down on individuals and groups perpetrating these scams. Candidates are urged to report any suspicious activities or solicitations for payment in exchange for jobs.

The CDCFIB recruitment exercise covers four paramilitary services, including

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS).

Start date for the application was July 14, 2025 (for CDCFIB recruitment), July 21, 2025 (for some services). However deadline is August 11, 2025 (for CDCFIB recruitment), August 20, 2025 (for NSCDC recruitment).

Candidates are advised to be cautious and only use the official recruitment portals to avoid being scammed.
