Representative Bamidele Salam, member representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Stephen Oyelami for his remarkable achievement in breaking a Guinness World Record.
Mr. Oyelami, a native of Iragberi in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State, was part of a team that set a new world record for the Longest Marathon Reading Aloud by a Team, clocking an impressive 424 hours.
The feat places him and his team in the global spotlight for their extraordinary dedication and endurance.
In his congratulatory message, Rep. Salam described the accomplishment as “a testament to the intellectual strength and resilience of Nigerian youth,” adding that Mr. Oyelami’s achievement has brought pride not only to Iragberi and Egbedore but to Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.
“Stephen Oyelami’s name is now etched in global history books. His contribution to this record-breaking effort is an inspiration to millions of young Nigerians striving to make a mark through knowledge and perseverance,” Salam stated.

The Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Reading Aloud by a Team was previously held by a group of participants, but Oyelami and his team have now set a new benchmark with their 424-hour reading marathon.
