The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Commandant General’s (CG’s) Special Intelligence Squad (CGSIS), in collaboration with the Nigerian Army and Nigeria Police, has successfully foiled repeated bandit attacks against farmers in Nteng village, Deomak District, Qua’ran-Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.
This joint operation was initiated following the CG’s marching orders to ensure the safety of the community.
This was contained in a press statement from CSC Afolabi Babawale, the Public Relations Officer, NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja on Friday.
The CGSIS, led by Commandant AS Dandaura, set up an intelligence-driven operational mechanism to prevent incessant attacks on Nteng village.
The operation has restored confidence among civilians, allowing them to return home safely, as the Nigerian Army and Nigeria Police worked together with the CGSIS to achieve the success.
The operation is expected to boost food security in the region by protecting farmers and their livelihoods.
“In response to the marching order of the CG Ahmed Abubakar, we set up an intelligence driven operational mechanism to forestall the incessant attacks against the Nteng village,” AS Dandaura explained.
This operation demonstrates the commitment of the security agencies to protect lives and property in Plateau State.
