​Benue Marine and Blue Economy Commissioner pays familiarisation visit on RAAMP state Coordinator

​Benue State Commissioner for Marine and Blue Economy, Denis Ter Iyaghigba, recently visited the Benue State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) state Coordinator, Hon. Stephen Numbeve.

 

The visit which took place in Makurdi was to familiarise with the workings of the office and possibly explore areas of partnership aimed at finding ways the two organizations can work together to support Governor Hyacinth Alia’s development goals for the state.

 

​Commissioner Iyaghigba expressed his confidence in the RAAMP leadership, noting their efforts in delivering quality and effective services.

 

He highlighted that the office has played a pivotal role in supporting the Governor Alia’s administration and a synergy with the Ministry and the project will further cement the good intentions of the administration.

​During his visit, the Commissioner praised the ongoing improvements at the RAAMP office complex and encouraged the team to continue their work, stating it’s a vital platform for improving the lives of rural population.

​The Commissioner was accompanied by several key officials from his office, including Hon. Richard Imoter Nomkpo; Dr. Samuel Iyaghigba; Head of Media, Publicity and Orientation, Mr. Lubem Gena; Dr. Harris Dera; Sir Teddy Terna Kandeor; Prophet Isaiah Gbem; Mr. Ephraim Makar; Mr. Francis Maande qmong others.

​In his response, Hon. Numbeve who took the Commissioner and his entourage round the premises welcomed the visit, describing it as timely.

 

He said that RAAMP’s core mission is to improve rural roads, construct new ones, build stores, warehouses, culverts, and bridges across all 23 local government areas of the state.

 

He assured the Commissioner that a partnership would help both teams better serve the rural population.
