The Commandant General (CG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to strengthening grassroots security and community-based intelligence in Anambra State.
According to a press release from CSC Afolabi Babawale the Public Relations Officer, Headquarters, NSCD, Abuja, on Wednesday, during a working visit to the state, Prof. Audi emphasized the importance of community-led security initiatives, stating, “Security must begin from the grassroots. That is where people live, work, and build the future.”
Prof. Audi paid a courtesy visit to Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, and commended his administration’s proactive efforts in maintaining peace and stability in the state, just as he solicited greater logistical and infrastructural support to enhance the Corps’ performance in Anambra State, ensuring the safety and prosperity of the people.
Audi reiterated the NSCDC’s renewed focus on community trust, proactive engagement, and service excellence under his leadership.
Governor Soludo praised the NSCDC for its professionalism, discipline, and resilience in safeguarding critical national assets and public infrastructure.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and prosperity of Anambra’s people, saying, “Our greatest asset is our people: creative, enterprising, and innovative. They are the engine of our economy.”
The governor pledged continued partnership and support for the Corps, affirming that security remains the foundation for the state’s economic growth and innovation-driven development.
