The Concerned Progressives of Abia (CPA) has congratulated Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji on his appointment as Abia State Chairman of the City Boy Movement (CBM), even as they described Orji’s appointment as “well-deserved and timely”, citing his legislative experience and grassroots network.
Orji’s experience as Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The CPA expressed confidence that Orji would bring peace, unity, and strategic direction to the Movement.
Orji’s appointment comes after his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), which has seen growth and cohesion in Abia State. The CPA noted that Orji had been championing President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope message across the state.
The group pledged full support for Orji’s leadership, activating members to work with the CBM. Orji combines professional expertise with deep political experience, having promoted legislative independence as Speaker.
The CBM cited his Direct Touch Initiative, focusing on youth and women empowerment, as a factor in his selection. Orji’s transition to the APC has strengthened the party’s grassroots reach in Abia State. The CPA described Orji as a “true bridge-builder and political stabiliser”.
Mayor Lucky Igbokwe welcomed Orji, saying he’s a “builder by profession and a builder of men by calling.” The CBM reaffirmed commitment to mobilising support for President Tinubu’s agenda.
Orji’s leadership is expected to deepen political engagement and accelerate organisational growth. The CPA is optimistic about Orji’s leadership, saying he’s the right man for the job.
