The village head of Idu, the host community of Idu Industrial Area in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT, Chief Mohammed Bawa Makama has greeted all the people within and outside his domain at the 2026 Idris el Fitr celebration.
The traditional ruler also congratulated the HRH Idris Musa on his elevation from a third class Chief to second class one by the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike
He addressed journalists shortly after prayer to mark the occasion.
He preached love and called for promotion of peace, which if done will go a long way. He says that Islam means peace
The royal father hailed those in his domain for peaceful cohabitation, and urg d them to keep it up.
Urging support for the government in power, Chief Mohammed Bawa Makama however appealed to those in the government to always have the interest of the citizens at heart.
Still calling for understanding between people of different religious faith, the village head said that he has noticed that the coinciding of Christians and Muslims fasting, shows that God is one and wants interfaith harmony.
Speaking on the elevation of the Chief of Jiwa Chiefdom, he said that the Chiefdom is an old one and the man on the throne deserves the elevation, based on his performance.
He finally prayed for the good of all.
