Preparations have reached an advanced stage for the 2026 edition of Africa Celebrates, with Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, set to welcome participants from across Africa, the African diaspora and friends of Africa from November 10 to 15.
The organisers said the annual gathering is expected to attract a larger international audience this year, following the participation of representatives from 43 African countries and 15 countries from the diaspora and people of African descent at last year’s edition.
Africa Celebrates 2026 is designed as a major platform for showcasing Africa’s rich cultural heritage, creativity, enterprise and growing influence, while strengthening connections between Africans on the continent and in the diaspora.
The event is being organised by Legendary Gold Limited and Afronova, in collaboration with the African Union, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, as well as the Embassies of Nigeria, Burundi and Côte d’Ivoire.
The organisers have also secured the participation of several strategic partners, including the European Union Delegation to the African Union, Kana TV and Multichoice (DStv).
Adding an important dimension to the international profile of the event, Ethiopian Airlines has been designated the Official Airline of Africa Celebrates 2026.
With Addis Ababa serving as the host city and participants expected from across the continent and beyond, the event is positioned as a major celebration of African identity, creativity, cultural diplomacy and unity.

As the countdown begins, expectations are high that Africa Celebrates 2026 will further consolidate the event’s reputation as a significant platform for bringing together Africa, its diaspora and friends of the continent in celebration of the continent’s diverse heritage and immense creative potential.
