House of Representatives Member for Gwer East/ Gwer West Federal Constituency, Arch Asema Achado, on Thursday, visited Wa-Ndoo-Mbakyor community in Mbalom council ward of Gwer East Local Government of Benue State to sympathise with the families of 18 victims who were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Speaking during the visit, Arch Achado urged the State Government to swiftly enforce the Anti-Grazing Prohibition law and bring perpetrators of the carnage to justice.
He reaffirmed his steadfast dedication to serve his constituents by generously donating one million, two hundred and fifty thousand naira to facilitate the procurement of seedlings for the upcoming farming season.
Achado also extended appreciation to the Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Sen. Dr. George Akume, for the donation of one hundred bags of 50kg rice to the people of Wa-Ndoo in Mbakyor community which he noted, serves as a beacon of support during this trying time. The honorable Member assured the community of imminent federal government intervention to address their plight.
Representatives of Wa-Ndoo community, Zaki Sakuma Tov and Sir Simon Kofi, President of Mbaikyor community in diaspora, commended Arc. (Dr) Asema Achado for his unwavering commitment and compassion towards the people of Gwer East/Gwer West Federal constituency.
They expressed gratitude for the courtesy visit, nothing that it symbolized solidarity in the face of adversity caused by the recent attacks.
The National Assembly member was accompanied by the Gwer East State House of Assembly member, Hon. Elias Audu, Barr. Godwin Buluku and other political stakeholders to Mbakyor Community.
