The Federal Ministry of Education has commenced an investigation into the alleged bullying of a student at Lead British International School in Abuja.
A statement by the Director Press, Folasade Boriowo, explains that the Ministry will work closely with relevant
stakeholders to ensure the culprits are brought to book.
The statement condemns bullying as it contravenes the fundamental rights of the students and reiterates the commitment of the federal government to safeguard as well as ensure a learning environment that is devoid of any
form of violence or intimidation.
It states that the Ministry will ensure vigilant monitoring of negative practices in the schools, as individuals are encouraged to report any such incidences.
A video of a student being bullied in Lead British International School Abuja went viral yesterday, with another of a boy beaten in the same school resurfacing today.
