Nigerians have continued to groan as fuel scarcity continues to worsen in Abuja and other states.
In Abuja long queues can be seen in major fuel stations, leading to gridlocks.
The fresh fuel scarcity has grounded many economic activities in states across the Federation as Nigerians queue up at filling stations nationwide.
While NNPC outlets are still selling at 617, some motorists also said fuel at some retail outlets sold between N660 and N700. While others explained they had no option than to buy at black market price of N1200 per litre.
Many retail outlets were closed, claiming they were short of supply.
Meanwhile, the National President of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), Billy Gillis-Harry, while speaking on a television programme on Monday, attributed the recent fuel scarcity to a supply challenge from the major oil supplier in the country, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
