The Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Musa Sani and others greeted Nigeria’s former military president, Retired General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida at his celebration of his 83rd birthday.
In a statement Saturday, the representative of Niger East Senatorial District of Niger State said the strides and accomplishments of the former military president over the years stood as a testament to the enduring impact of his leadership, even as he prays that the milestone brings reflection on the journey that has shaped Nigeria and a celebration of a legacy marked by significant achievements and contributions to the nation. He therefore wishes him many more years of health and wisdom.
Similarly in a press statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir the Deputy Senate President (DSP) Barau I. Jibrin said: “The elder statesman, who was born in Minna, Niger State, on August 17, 1941, served as the country’s military president from August 27, 1985, to August 26, 1993. He said the former military leader played a significant role in advancing the country’s infrastructure.
“The legacy projects of the former military leader would continue to benefit the Nigerian masses. He is one of our elder statesmen who played a significant role in fast-tracking the development of our beloved country. On the occasion of his 83rd birthday, I pray Allah SWT grants him good health and strength so that we can continue to draw from his wealth of knowledge, wisdom and experience.”
In the same vain, the, Northern Senators Forum, under Chairmanship of Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua wished him more happy years on earth.
