The Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Benue State Command, CC Yakubu Ibrahim, has expressed readiness of the corps to partner with the Benue State Government in tackling insecurity in the state.
The Commandant gave this assurance Thursday when the Senior Special Assistant to the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia, on Youth Mobilization and Empowerment, Hon. Mkeenem Moses, paid him and his men a familiarization visit at NSCDC State headquarters, Makurdi today.
CC Ibrahim who warmly welcomed the SSA and his team appreciated the visit, saying the youth are powerfully made and should be properly taken care of so that there will be peace and development in the society.
While lauding Hon. Mkeenem over the visit, the commandant noted that Benue is favored with conducive climate and if properly harnessed, will contribute immensely to the development of Nigeria our country.
He congratulated the youth leader on his appointment and reiterated that his men are ever ready to partner with his office to put things straight and set good records for the betterment of the people of Benue State.
Earlier Hon. Mkeenem appreciated the Commandant and his men for their tireless efforts towards tackling insecurity and ensuring that peace reigns in Benue State.
He added that as someone who represents the image of the youth in the Alia’s administration, his priority is the youth hence the need for the visit to introduce himself to solicit synergy and finding lasting solutions to crises bedeviling Benue State .
The SSA assured security agencies to count on his office anytime when it comes to matters concerning the youth.
