The executive chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area in Anambra State (Mayor of Orumba), Honourable Shedrack Azubuike has charged the newly elected councillors to not only go about their duties diligently, but also give government in the council total support.
He said that the good plans of the government in the local government can only be achieved through thier support and going about their duties effectively.
The chairman said this when he inaugurated the councillors recently in the secretariat.
He said: “I urge you the newly elected councillors to be up and doing in performance of your lawful duties and ensure that you discharge them diligently. The government in the local government has a very good plan for the indigenes of the local government. For all the good plans we have for the local government to be achieved, we need your supports, as well as going about your lawful duties diligently ”
The executive chairman congratulated them and admonished them to conduct their internal election for the leadership of the house devoid of acrimony and antagonism.
