The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has been commended for his exemplary leadership and strategic contributions to national security.
According to the CSC Babawale Afolabi the National Public Relations, NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. K.O Adebowale, represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Peter Olapegba, praised Dr. Audi during the 2nd Strategic Lecture held at the Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies (IPSS) Auditorium in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The lecture, which focused on “Roles of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Promoting National Security,” provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss the importance of inter-agency collaborations in addressing the nation’s security challenges.
Dr. Audi, who has been at the helm of the NSCDC since 2021, has been instrumental in transforming the organization into a formidable force in Nigeria’s security landscape.¹ Under his leadership, the NSCDC has achieved remarkable success in apprehending vandals and criminals, prosecuting offenders, and destroying illegal refineries.
The NSCDC boss has also been recognized for his efforts in promoting inter-agency collaborations, which he believes is essential in addressing the nation’s security challenges.
Dr. Audi’s contributions to national security have not gone unnoticed, as he was recently conferred with the Fellowship of the Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies (IPSS).
