Barr (Princess) Oby Onu, the national coordinator of women Arise 4 Tinubu has hailed the Constituted Board members of the Southeast Development Commission
In a statement she personally authored, she commended President Bola Tinubu for giving his assent to the bill and following it up with constituting a competent team to steer the leadership of the commission opining that with the Development Commission, southeast region will witness unprecedented growth and economic revival.
She mentioned that infrastructure deficit in Southeast occasioned by the civil war and the persistent agitation for secession by IPOB will be addressed with the commission coming into full operation.
In like manner, Princess Oby praised President Bola Tinubu for his promise to complete the Enugu-maiduguri railway project saying the completion of the railway project will give way for the spontaneous growth of the southeast economic corridor thereby increasing in productivity, job creation and security.
In the same vein, she saluted the president for his visionary and pragmatic leadership in splitting the Nigeria Aviation College campuses to the six-geopolitical zones with the campus of southeast cited in Ebonyi state, extolling the Honourable minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi and other southeast leaders for making it possible.
Equally, she commended Southeast leaders like Senator Anyim Pius, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu and the Enugu state governor for keeping the zone together on a progressive path highlighting the importance of unity and progress to the development of southeast.
