The Lagos International Trade Fair Complex (LITFC), under the leadership of Executive Director, Mrs. Vera Ndanusa, who spoke to journalists shortly after defending 2024 annual budget before the Joint Finance Committee of the Senate and House of Representatives at the National Assembly recently, by informing that the LITFC has undergone significant transformations to position itself as a world-class trade hub.
The complex’s rehabilitation efforts have focused on upgrading dilapidated infrastructure to meet international standards, paving the way for increased trade fairs and revenue generation ¹.
A notable achievement of the complex is the significant increase in revenue, from N300 million annually to over N1 billion in 2024. This growth can be attributed to the conducive business environment and strategic initiatives implemented by the management.
The complex’s revitalization has also attracted international attention, with the upcoming African Union (AU) Trade Fair set to take place on its premises. This event is expected to further boost the complex’s reputation as a premier trade destination in Nigeria.
To sustain this momentum, Mrs. Ndanusa emphasized the need for funding to enhance the complex’s facilities and generate even more revenue. With the right support, the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex is poised to become a key driver of economic growth in Nigeria.
