The Federal Ministry of Interior has organized a send-forth ceremony for its 42 officers who retired from the public service, according to a press statement from the Director of Press, Ozoya Imohimi Tuesday.
According to the statement from the retirees had reached the milestone of 60 years of age or completed 35 years of dedicated service to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Dr. Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, praised the retiring officers for embodying the core values of diligence, integrity, and patriotism.
She emphasized the importance of resilience, excellence, and service, noting that the success of any organization is built on the dedication and sacrifice of its workforce.
The ceremony’s highlight was the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the retiring officers, recognizing their remarkable contributions to the country.
This gesture serves as a testament to the Ministry’s appreciation for their years of service.
The Ministry of Interior oversees key institutions such as the Nigerian Correctional Service, which is responsible for the administration of prisons and the rehabilitation of inmates .
