Rep. Bamidele Salam hands over two key projects to Awo community in Osun state

On Monday, Representative Bamidele Salam, the lawmaker for Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, officially handed over two vital projects to the Awo community in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State.

These projects, aimed at bolstering local infrastructure and enhancing security, were facilitated by the representative and are expected to have a significant positive impact on the community.

The first project, a newly built and rehabilitated Divisional Police Station, was sponsored by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).

This initiative seeks to improve law enforcement capabilities and enhance security in the community.

The second project, a newly constructed community civic center, was developed with support from the Federal Ministry of Housing and will serve as a space for community engagement and activities.

During the handover ceremony, Representative Salam stressed the importance of increasing funding, training, and equipping the Nigeria Police Force to strengthen internal security across the country.

He emphasized the need for sustained investment in law enforcement to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens nationwide.

The ceremony was attended by several notable dignitaries, including Barrister Samuel Ojo, Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Security; the State Commissioner of Police, represented by the Area Commander; the Alawo of Awo; the Olojudo of Iddo Osun; the Olori Aragberi of Iragberi; and the Council Chairmen of Ede North, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Local Governments. Several other political leaders from the constituency were also present to witness the occasion.

The successful completion and handover of these projects mark a significant milestone in improving security and fostering community development in the region, signaling Representative Salam’s continued commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
