Tribute to the man Prof. Tyotom Keghku

By Tersoo Kula

The death of Professor Tyotom Keghku, came to me with great shock. As a lecturer and Public Relations practitioner, his impact on those of us who studied under his guidance, is immeasurable.

He was a teacher, who not only imparted knowledge. He was known to inspire and motivate his students to achieve their full potential. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from Prof. Keghku, an exceptional teacher, who transformed my life.

His dedication to teaching was exemplary. He had an innate ability to connect with his students, and understood their individual strengths and weaknesses. His passion for teaching and his love for the journalism profession was contagious. His enthusiasm, particularly for Public Relations, was obvious.

Professor Keghku was always available to discuss any questions or concerns around his area of expertise, and provided invaluable advice and support.

Under his tutelage, most of us have been able to use his technical knowledge and communication skills to perfection in our professional lives. I am particularly, grateful for his guidance and support, which have left a lasting impact on my life.

The Journalism profession and Public Relations in particular, has lost a rare gem. We will all miss Prof. Keghku with his wealth of experience.

We cannot question God, and can only wish the man a peaceful rest.

I pray that May God console his immediate family, and all of us who knew him.

Rest well, my Teacher and Senior Colleague.
