Pauline Atser: Quintessential nurse and gospel singer

By Tahav Agerzua

I first knew Dr Pauline Atser as a gospel artiste before I got to know her as a nurse.

However, when official duties brought us closer when she became the Principal of the School of Nursing Makurdi, now affiliated to the Benue State University, she was completely engrossed in her administrative responsibilities.

Yet this accomplished nurse, midwife, and academic has produced eight gospel albums from 1999 to date.

Currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Nursing at BSU, the Fellow of the West African Post Graduate Nursing and Midwifery has made indelible footprints in her chosen careers.

With a Doctor of Philosophy, PhD in Nursing, she blazed a trail in this part of the country.

This multilingual artiste has also made profound positive impact on the Christian music industry in Benue State and beyond.

She attributes her music career to God’s guiding hand, childhood and school influences, as well as a supportive husband.

Tune in and listen on Asking Radio at 98.5MHz or watch on Facebook as Tahav Agerzua interacts with Dr Pauline Atser, on the program, Gurgur man Msaanyol, on
