To boost security in the area, the legislator representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the House of Representatives, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, has donated 20 powered dollar street lights and some substantial financial contribution to Nyanya Phase 4 residents in the FCT. He did this, following recent armed robbery incidents in the community.
According to Hon. Chinedu Obika Media Team, the community, which suffered a devastating loss as a result of the armed robbery incident, recently reached out to the parliamentarian through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Emenike Egbusunwa, a resident of the area.
These interventions, the Media Team went on, was done to over the weekend to enhance visibility, deter criminal activities, and restore residents’ confidence.
The Community’s Security Chairman, Hon. Ijoma Richard, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the residents, describing Hon. Obika’s immediate action as “unprecedented in the history of representation within AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.” He also commended Mr. Egbusunwa for his proactive role in bridging the community’s needs with his principal’s office.
Responding, the lawmaker reassured constituents of his dedication to advancing security, infrastructure, and welfare initiatives across the constituency. He urged residents to continue collaborating with security agencies to ensure a safer community.
