The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Benue Geo Mining Company Ltd, Dr. Erdoo Mongol, has been bestowed with an Award of Excellence by members of the Benue NYSC National Honours Award Winners.
The group awarded her during a courtesy visit on her at the BENCEDI office in Makurdi.
The group which comprises of Benue indigenes who served in various states across Nigeria and received national awards during their NYSC year, was led by their president, Mr. Sesugh Dominic Igbaato.
News Headquarters gathered that while speaking during the visit, Mr. Igbaato expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for appointing one of their own to such a high position.
He also assured the group’s full support in any way possible to help move the state forward.
The group further encouraged Dr. Mongol to continue being a role model and to represent them well among her peers, saying she serves as an inspiration to younger members of the group.
In her response, Dr. Mongol thanked the award winners for the visit and their show of love.
She expressed gratitude for their effort to travel all the way from Abuja to see her and said she did not take their gesture for granted.
Sharing her NYSC experience in Rivers State back in 2008, Mongol encouraged the young professionals to stay focused on their dreams.
The MD/CEO assured them of her continued support and promised never to leave them behind.
She enjoined them to use their wealth of experience and expertise to contribute meaningfully to the overall growth of the state.
The courtesy call is coming barely one week after Dr. Mongol’s secondary school mates at N.K.S.T. Secondary School, Adikpo class of 1997 paid a similar visit on her during which they also appreciated Governor Alia for finding her worthy to be appointed into the exalted position.
