Chief Gabriel Maduka Obiegbu, founder of Okptaozhora Philanthropist Foundation (OPF), has congratulated Governor Soludo on his re-election, describing it as “expected based on his performance.”
Obiegbu urged citizens of Anambra State to continue to support the re-elected governor, saying, “Soludo’s re-election is a testament to his visionary leadership and the significant progress the state has made under his guidance.”
In a landslide victory, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has been re-elected as the Governor of Anambra State, Nigeria.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), winner of the governorship election held on November 8, 2025, with a total of 422,644 votes.
Soludo’s re-election has been hailed as a remarkable achievement, with many praising his commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainable development.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Soludo, saying his victory is an affirmation of his visionary leadership and the progress Anambra State has made under his watch.
Other notable figures who have congratulated Soludo include Senator David Umahi, Minister of Works, who described Soludo’s victory as a testament to the confidence of the people of Anambra State in his progressive leadership.
Former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, also congratulated Soludo, saying his re-election reflects the collective decision of the people of Anambra State to renew their confidence in his leadership.
Added were: Mr Samuel Onyeaka, the Chairman, Abuja branch of Awkuzu Progressive Union; Sir Arinze Anadu ASTPA PG, Abuja; Amb Prince Emeka Egwuekwe, the CEO, Prince Interior Furnishing and Furniture Co. Ltd, Abuja, and Chairman of Enugwu-Agidi Stakeholders Forum (ESF) and Ezumezu Umunri Worldwide) and; High Chief Vitus Ofodum the National President of Licensed Electrical Contractors Association of Nigeria LECAN and the CEO, Vitek Engineering Company Limited, among others.
Soludo’s victory is seen as a significant endorsement of his policies and programs, which have focused on improving infrastructure, strengthening security, and enhancing the welfare of the people of Anambra State.
The Governor has promised to continue working tirelessly for the people of Anambra, saying, “Ours is an assignment with a deadline. For me, we will work tirelessly for the people of Anambra with no minute lost”.
Chief Obiegbu also congratulated Dr. Emmanuel Ikechukwu Nweke, the Mayor of Oyi Local Government Area, for his outstanding performance in the election, saying he has moved the party to the expected level in the local government area.
The election was widely praised for its transparency and credibility, with many observers describing it as one of the most peaceful and well-organized elections in the state’s history.
The INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, was commended for his role in ensuring the success of the election.
Soludo’s re-election is expected to usher in a new era of stability and progress for Anambra State, with many looking forward to the implementation of his vision for the state’s development. As the state embarks on this new journey, Chief Obiegbu urged citizens to rally behind the Governor, saying, “Let us continue to support Governor Soludo, for Anambra State to move to the expected level.”
