Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, Member representing the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, has intensified grassroots engagement ahead of the FCT Area Council elections, solidifying the All Progressives Congress (APC) stronghold in Abuja South.
As part of his efforts, Hon. Obika paid a courtesy visit to HRH Alhaji Mohammed Bello Umar, the Agora of Zuba, seeking traditional support and royal blessings for the party’s candidates.
During the engagement, Hon. Obika formally canvassed support for Hon. Usman Yahaya, the APC Chairmanship candidate for Gwagwalada Area Council, urging the traditional institution and the people of the area to rally behind the party for a decisive victory at the polls.
Hon. Obika also led a campaign outreach to Igwe Eric Onah, the Eze Ndigbo of Gwagwalada Area Council, presenting the APC Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Usman Yahaya, and appealing for the traditional leader’s support and blessings.
The lawmaker emphasized Hon. Yahaya’s commitment to inclusive governance and the development of Gwagwalada, highlighting the party’s dedication to grassroots engagement and respect for traditional institutions.
Hon. Obika further paid a courtesy visit to HRH Alhaji Muhammad Magaji, the Aguma of Gwagwalada, seeking the royal father’s blessings and support for the APC Chairmanship Candidate.
The visits underscore the party’s commitment to winning the FCT Area Council elections and continuing to serve the people of Abuja South.
Hon. Obika’s efforts are seen as a strategic move to bolster the party’s chances in the elections, scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
The APC Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Usman Yahaya, is expected to bring development and progress to Gwagwalada Area Council, and the party is confident of winning the elections.
