Hon. Chinedu Obika, the legislator representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, has called on APC members to intensify their efforts towards a decisive victory in the upcoming Area Council elections.
Obika made the call while convening a meeting with the Executive Committee (EXCO) and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gwarinpa Ward, emphasizing the need for unified support to re-elect Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu as Chairman of AMAC and secure victory for the party’s councillorship candidates in Gwarinpa Ward.
The meeting, held at the Abuja residence of prominent APC leader Hon. Ishaku Tanko Yamawo, served as an official homecoming for Obika, who recently decamped from the Labour Party to the APC. In his opening remarks, Yamawo welcomed Obika and expressed gratitude to the EXCO and leaders for their dedication to strengthening the party.
Obika expressed his commitment to work for the collective good and progress of the constituency, stating, “I have returned with a renewed and strengthened commitment to work for the collective good and progress of everyone in our constituency.”
The meeting was attended by notable APC leaders, including Hon. Lawrence Onuchukwu, who commended Obika’s humility in engaging with the ward leadership. The APC EXCO and leaders welcomed Obika and pledged their support for his leadership and vision.
The party leaders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Obika’s leadership and working towards victory in the upcoming elections. The gathering aimed to strengthen the party’s structure and ensure a unified approach to the elections.
