The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has commended citizens for their cooperation in intelligence sharing, which has contributed significantly to the Corps’ operational successes. Commandant General (CG), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, expressed his gratitude to well-meaning Nigerians who have partnered with the Corps to enhance its productivity and fulfillment of its statutory roles and responsibilities.
Dr. Audi acknowledged that credible intelligence and information volunteered by citizens have been crucial to the Corps’ achievements. He also eulogized the sacrifice and commitments of State Commandants, Head of Formations, and Zonal Commanders in prosecuting the Corps’ mandate.
The NSCDC has achieved remarkable success in recent years, including the deployment of 25,000 personnel to ensure the protection of lives and critical infrastructure during the yuletide season. The Corps has also established various initiatives, such as the Safe School Initiative Project and the Agro Rangers Personnel, to protect schools and agricultural assets nationwide.
As the NSCDC continues to work towards a safer and more secure Nigeria, Dr. Audi’s message serves as a reminder of the importance of collective effort and collaboration in achieving the country’s security goals.
