The Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has named Honou Denis Ter Iyaghigba as Commissioner for the newly created Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
The announcement was made today in Makurdi following the first State Executive Council meeting with the recently sworn-in commissioners.
The creation of this new ministry underscores Governor Alia’s commitment to diversifying the state’s economy beyond agriculture and public service. It reflects a forward-thinking approach to sustainable development and job creation.
An official release from Government House, signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Tersoo Kula named the other Commissioners as follows:
