The ancient community of Ogbunka in Orumba South, Anambra State, has celebrated Hon Obinna Onuigbo on his election as the leader of Orumba South Legislative Council in Umunze the headquarters.
This was contained in a congratulatory message signed by Hon. Ikechukwu Chukwubueze and Rev. Canon Dan Onwuaso, the President General and Secretary General of Ogbunka Development Union (ODU) respectively and made available to the public through a social media, the ODU’s group whassapp on 20 November, 2025.
Describing the achievement as a milestone and a big win for the community, they praised Hon Onuigbo’s leadership qualities and expressed pride in his achievement.
“It is indeed another big win for the current O.D.U executives and another political advancement of our dear community,” the statement read.
The community leader noted that Hon Onuigbo’s election was a testament to his capabilities and dedication to public service. “The cap fits you, A square peg in a square hole, more feathers, soar higher than the eagle Nwa Ogbunka,” the statement added.
Hon Onuigbo, who is also the Financial Secretary and Financial Director of Ogbunka Development Union, was elected as the leader of the Orumba South Legislative Council, a position that is seen as a significant achievement for the community.
The Ogbunka Community congratulated Hon Onuigbo and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the legislative council. The community also assured him of their continued support and prayers.
