Residents complaints: Submit electricity transaction documents, legislator tells AMAC/BWARI residents

Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, member of the House of Representatives representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, has issued a press release urging residents and business owners in his constituency to submit evidence of electricity‑related payments to his constituency office at NNPC Junction, Kubwa.

The call follows persistent complaints from constituents about Meter Assets Provider (MAP) payments for meters that have not been installed on time, non‑refund of energy credits under the MAP policy, and investments in Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) network that were not returned despite AEDC utilizing them.

Hon. Obika cited his constitutional mandate under Section 88(1) of the Nigerian Constitution, which empowers him to investigate the conduct of any authority, ministry, or government department charged with executing or administering laws enacted by the National Assembly.
