Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, has been conferred with the traditional title of “Hasken Bwari” (Light of Bwari) by the Sarkin Bwari, Alhaji Awwal Musa Ijakoro II.
This recognition acknowledges Obika’s outstanding service and impact on the constituency, particularly in healthcare, employment, and inclusive representation. It’s not his first traditional honor; he was previously turbaned “Hasken Fulani Bwari” by the Fulani community in December 2025.
Traditional leaders praised Obika’s “detribalized approach to governance” and “superlative and quality representation.” The title solidifies his role as a key development partner to the traditional institution.
In his acceptance speech for the previous title, Obika pledged to “shine a light on the needs and potential of every community.” The people of AMAC/Bwari expect him to continue this work, addressing neglected issues and fostering unity.
The ceremony highlights the partnership between traditional institutions and democratic governance, driving grassroots development.
