CDCFIB disowns fake recruitment notices circulating on social media

By Ekunkonye Junior

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has disowned in its entirety, the fraudulent notice circulating on various social media platforms regarding the ongoing CDCFIB recruitment exercise.

The fake notice, dated 10th December 2025, claims that the Board is proceeding to the next stage of recruitment—physical screening and document verification—and instructs shortlisted applicants to visit a fake portal “recruitment CDCFIB .(link unavailable)” between 15th and 19th December 2025 to select screening venues and dates.

In a statement signed by AM Jibril Rtd, Secretary to the Board, 11th December 2025, he stated that he did not issue or sign any such statement and urged the public to disregard the misinformation.

He emphasized that the circulation of false information aims to mislead and defraud job seekers.

The Board advised the public to rely solely on its official communication channels for authentic updates on recruitment matters.
