A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has expressed firm confidence in the political prospects of the party in Kogi East, attributing the optimism to the leadership style and strategy of the Deputy Governor, Joel Salifu Oyibo.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Thursday, Abah Samuel Eleojo, National Secretary of the APC League of Professionals, described the Deputy Governor as a leader whose humility and calculated political approach are positioning the party for a sweeping victory in Kogi East Senatorial District.
Comrade Eleojo noted that Oyibo’s calm and approachable demeanor has strengthened grassroots engagement, fostering unity and inclusiveness among party members and supporters across the district.
According to him, “the Deputy Governor’s accessibility has helped bridge gaps within the party and build stronger connections with the electorate.
“Hon. Oyibo’s political style which is both measured and effective can only be likened to the calm, deliberate and decisive attack of a tiger on its prey. The Deputy Governor combines a gentle public image with a strategic mindset capable of delivering tangible political results”.
The APC stakeholder called on party faithful, particularly in Kogi East, to close ranks and intensify mobilization efforts ahead of future elections.
He emphasized that ” unity among party members would be crucial in translating the Deputy Governor’s leadership into electoral success and urged stakeholders to set aside internal differences and rally behind Oyibo, describing him as a unifying figure whose leadership has already begun to yield positive outcomes for the party”.
In recent months, Oyibo has drawn commendation for his contributions to governance, youth empowerment programmes, and efforts to strengthen the APC’s structure in the eastern flank of Kogi State.
As political activities gradually gather momentum, observers say the Deputy Governor’s blend of humility and strategic planning may play a decisive role in consolidating the APC’s dominance in the state, particularly in Kogi East.
