AFRICA CELEBRATES 2026 POISED TO SET NEW RECORD AS ENTRIES SURGE

By Lubem Gena

Africa Celebrates 2026 is already generating remarkable excitement across the continent, with organisers reporting an overwhelming response from prospective participants just weeks after entries officially opened.

The early surge in registrations has fuelled optimism that the forthcoming edition of the prestigious fashion, culture and entertainment showcase will surpass previous milestones, setting a new benchmark for participation and international engagement.

Riding on the momentum of the hugely successful 2025 edition, which attracted participants from 43 African countries alongside members of the African diaspora and people of African descent from 15 countries, Legendary Gold, the organisers say preparations are well underway to deliver an even more expansive and impactful event in 2026.

Widely regarded as one of Africa’s foremost platforms for celebrating the continent’s rich cultural heritage and creative industries, Africa Celebrates has continued to unite fashion designers, musicians, visual artists, cultural ambassadors, entrepreneurs and tourism stakeholders under one umbrella, promoting African excellence on the global stage.

The organisers noted that the unprecedented volume of early applications reflects the growing international appeal of the event and the increasing desire among creatives and cultural enthusiasts to be part of a platform dedicated to showcasing Africa’s innovation, diversity and artistic brilliance.

Africa Celebrates 2026 is being organised by Legendary Gold Limited and Afronova in collaboration with the African Union, reaffirming its continental outlook and commitment to advancing cultural diplomacy, creative enterprise and tourism development.

The event also enjoys the support of an impressive coalition of international partners, including the Ministry of Tourism of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the Embassies of Nigeria, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Colombia and New Zealand, as well as the United States and European Union Missions to the African Union. Other partners include the British Council, PG Records, Multichoice (DSTV), Ocean Wave Group and Kana TV, while Ethiopian Airlines returns as the official airline.

Beyond the dazzling fashion showcases and vibrant entertainment performances, the event is expected to provide a strategic platform for networking, investment promotion, cultural exchange and creative collaboration among stakeholders from across Africa and the global diaspora.

Organisers have encouraged designers, performers, exhibitors, investors and corporate partners interested in participating in the landmark event to register through the official Africa Celebrates website: https://www.africacelebrates.com
