Dolly Parton will be buried beside her late husband, Carl Dean, at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Nashville, Tennessee.
She will be laid to rest in her signature high heels and a comfortable cotton dress, according to her nephew Bryan Seaver.
Reports accessed by News Headquarters indicate that, ‘Per her wishes, only immediate family will attend the intimate ceremony in Nashville.
Dolly Parton and Carl Dean’s story began in 1964, outside the Wishy Washy Laundromat in Nashville, on the very first day an 18-year-old Dolly arrived in the city chasing her dreams. Carl was 21.
“Two years later, they quietly married in Ringgold, Georgia, beginning a marriage that would last nearly 59 years. While Dolly became one of the most recognizable women in the world, Carl chose a life almost completely outside the spotlight. Somehow, those opposite worlds fit perfectly together”, medium stated.
When Carl died in March 2025, Dolly lost the man she described as her anchor, and she never hid how deeply that absence changed her.
She kept working, creating and carrying their love with her, even writing a song in his memory.
